In 1973, after completing his studies at the Graphic Arts College in Denmark and the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland, Bo Bendixen started his own design studio, and the company was able to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2023.
In 1982, Bo Bendixen opened his first gallery and later added several more.
1991 was the year of Bo Bendixen's international breakthrough when he started a collaboration with Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki, Japan, and for a period from 1994 he worked as chief designer for the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun.
In 2024, Anne Dorthe Hjort took over the company and has focused on sustainability and the development of new quality products with Bo Bendixen's fantastic and timeless designs and a desire to make a difference.

Today Bo Bendixen ApS is an international company with headquarters in Middelfart. We have our own galleries in Blåvand, Skagen, Lønstrup, Ebeltoft, Ribe and on Bornholm as well as a large number of dealers at home and abroad. Our values are honesty, integrity and working with both high morale and good humor.
